Call of the Sea Offers Youth Adventure Camp

Sausalito’s Call of the Sea is offering a 3-week, Monday through Friday, day-only youth summer camp. The program is aimed at students aged 8 – 14 and includes a range of seafaring activities to engage young hands and minds. All activities will be conducted in compliance with Marin county public health orders. Campers will build their own model boats — and engage in sea-trials, sail San Francisco Bay aboard S/V Seaward, and burn up extra energy with kayaking, hiking, and picnicking at various locations such as Angel Island, China Camp and Paradise Beach Park.

The Camp will operate from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m Monday-Friday, meeting at the Bay Model Visitor Center in Sausalito. The ship will be sanitized daily and all crew members will wear masks. The same crew and participants will be together in a “pod” for each session:

Session 1 (12 student “Pod”)

Same student “pod” for three weeks

Week 1 – June 22- July 26

Week 2 – June 29 – July 3
